Financial Accountant

This role is based at our Great Dunmow, Essex office.

The role will consist of accounts preparation work for limited companies below the audit threshold with associated tax compliance work. The candidate will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients which will include the preparation of the accounts as well as ensuring the coordination, timing and completion of the work with a commercial mindset.

Individual requirements

Qualification level

AAT qualified with lots of practical experience. Part qualified with lots of practical experience. Alternatively qualified by experience.

Able to service a portfolio of clients
Preparing budgets for assignments
Manages work effectively
Commercial awareness

Core accounts technical skills

Able to produce a set of accounts from client records
Accounts amendments made are self reviewed
Able to process journals
Makes decisions in accounts preparations and communicates to reviewer
Able to complete simple corporation tax computations and takes responsibility for obtaining and clearing reviews
Fully conversant with Sage Line 50.
